Safety, environment and quality are the essential cornerstones of our work.

  • As part of our corporate philosophy, they also provide us with important guidelines for the realisation of projects. To reflect our operations and develop appropriate corrective actions and improvements, we conduct a qualitative and critical self-assessment on a regular basis.

     

    We particularly focus on the safety of our employees and all persons involved in the respective projects. Therefore, we strive for a 100% incident and accident-free daily operation. To achieve this, we have taken all relevant measures and precautions. This includes, for example, the establishment of comprehensive safety, preventive and health plans. Furthermore, we have introduced an appropriate risk management. Trainings for safe working practices are also part of our comprehensive safety concept. By continuously monitoring our systems and consistently modernising safety-relevant components, we target the safety of our operations and failure-free efficient processes.

Our principles

  • Adherence to and monitoring of internal as well as external HSEQ guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Prevention of accidents, especially personal injury, property damage and environmental damage, as well as ensuring the safety of third parties.
  • Preparation of risk assessments and action strategies for each stage of operation of a cable crane system or a winch.
  • Use of high-quality materials and cooperation with selected partners and experts.
  • Continuous improvement of safety and environmental standards and quality management.
  • Consistent compliance with O.I.T.A.F. (International Organization for Transportation by Rope) guidelines when using cable crane systems.
  • Applying the latest technologies and modern calculation systems for cable crane systems.

LCS is certified and works according to the norms of the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Safety first – ISO 45001:2018

At LCS, the health and safety of all our employees is a top priority. Therefore, when developing new products or implementing projects, we take not only technical aspects into account but also the safe operation of the systems and machines. For us, this means that we equip all products with the best safety devices. Consequently, we create a safe solution for our customers when it comes to transporting materials or machines in impassable terrain. Even on construction sites that are difficult to access, such as at dam or bridge construction sites, our cable crane systems protect workers and machine operators alike.

Close cooperation with relevant committees

Our goal to fulfil comprehensive safety aspects is also reflected in our work in various committees: In addition to our engagement in Ö-Norm committees, we are also represented, in the O.I.T.A.F., the International Organization for the Ropeway Industry. Furthermore, we are in close contact with various institutions such as the TÜV, an occupational physician, the labour inspectorate or a safety expert.

We are proud that due to these aspects our products are among the safest in the world.

Environment – ISO 14001:2015

  • During our innovation and production process, we focus specifically on the environment and how our actions affect it. Cable crane systems are, by their very nature, suitable for the environmentally friendly transport of heavy loads. Nevertheless, we have dug deeper into the matter. This is the reason why winches with electro-hydraulic drives were developed. Winches powered by diesel engines which meet the highest emission standards complete our range of transport solutions.

    In addition, we offer our customers another advantage: When, for example, building a pipeline a cable crane system only requires a right of way of between 8 and 14 metres. The system is installed directly over the planned track of the pipeline. Consequently, the laying of pipes is extremely simple. Furthermore, costs can be reduced considerably thanks to lower construction costs and a significant optimisation of the route.

Quality – ISO 9001:2015

  • Achieving the satisfaction of our customers is our main goal. A comprehensive quality standards is therefore not only the basis for the development of our high-performance products, but a real must. Every project begins with the professional planning and a detailed conception stage. We provide advise to each customer according to its specific task. It is our aim to continue to be the first point of contact for our customers and supply them with the best products and components.

    In order to maintain our high quality level, we perform quality controls of the cable crane equipment as well as of our internal processes on a regular basis. We renew all safety-relevant components on an ongoing basis. Our internal audits are decisive as they enable us to specifically identify possible sources of an error.

    For us, technical progress also includes a highly qualified well-trained team of specialists. All our projects are realised on the basis of the quality management system. We continuously train our staff to always be at the cutting edge of technology, as well as to enhance each employee´s personality.

    Additionally, innovation is also important to meet our own quality standards. This lies in the responsibility of our development team: it focuses on our continuous further development, introduces new components, and provides alternative options. Because: All our products, such as the winches, crane units, pulleys or clamps shall be improved every day and completely meet the customer’s needs.
